This review is from: Tissot Men's T0664071705700 Seastar 1000 Black Dial and Strap Watch (Watch) OK, so $600ish for a watch isn't cheap, but in the world of high end watches it's relatively inexpensive. Without ever seeing it in person, I bought this Seastar from Amazon on a whim for a casual "fun" watch. I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I like it & it is quickly becoming my go to watch. It's keeping time to about +5 seconds a day, which is just inside COSC spec. It wears very similar to my 42mm Omega Planet Ocean (at about 1/4 the price). I've owned some of the mid to higher end brands such as Rolex, Omega, Panerai, Breitling, IWC, JLC, etc and in my opinion the build quality of this watch exceeds the $600 price tag. All in all, if you're looking for a watch that's a step up from the $200-300 Seiko divers and don't want to break the bank with an Omega or IWC, I'd highly recommend giving the Seastar 1000 a try. This review is from: Tissot Men's T0664071705700 Seastar 1000 Black Dial and Strap Watch (Watch) Since each watch I have owned was given to me as a gift, I thought i would treat myself. After agonizing for hours on Amazon, I bought this one. It's magnificent! It is hard to put in words, but the color combination and the design of the markers, hands, and labels is beautiful. The sapphire crystal is flawless and seems to magnify the face of the watch. It has that 'heft' sometimes associated with quality items. I tried several Hamilton watches - none come close to the comfort and style of this watch. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique-yet-tasteful everyday watch. My only complaint is that this watch cannot lay flat on it's back. the rubber strap is curved near the pins. When I tried to balance it on the strap the watch flipped over and landed crystal side down.
